As the assembly was enjoined to full, conscious, and active participation in the Mass, music suitable for congregational singing immediately entered liturgical use. The Catholic Church had a minimal tradition of congregational singing. As was her long established custom, the Church has drawn on the contemporary secular, popular musical idioms of the day in the decades since those liturgical reforms first began. Even Protestant hymnody has gained acceptance and many think these are old Catholic hymns. The use of the piano, guitars, drums, synthesizers, etc. is right in keeping with the Churchs long history of contemporary music and use of contemporary musical instruments. Where we shall go from here, who knows!I find it an exciting musical journey. I have been a liturgical musician for over 40 years. I have done very high church in cathedral settings, folk Masses, Gospel music, and, of course, our contemporary Catholic music, so much of which has been written by talented musicians in our own Oakland Diocese. I have used organs, pianos, synthesizers, full orchestras, and hope to use whatever else creative minds come up with in the world of making music. Music is prayer, not performance I believe the most important point for us all to remember is that the music is prayer, not performance at Mass.

Thank you for this much needed history lesson. They need to be teaching about Black Wall Street in schools. We really need to never forget this event and others in our history where horrendous devastation and loss of innocent black lives occurred. Racism continues to run rampant in America and until we really sit with it and make constructive and lasting changes together as a nation we will never heal and history will unfortunately continue to repeat itself in the horrendous ways that we see today. Anybody can make up stories and they can ADD and SUBTRACT things from the story. I have heard several different versions already. Reading the comments there are a few people who say this story has been changed. If there is no one ALIVE that has the truth then how can. you tell if it is accurate or not?Just because someone heard from someone that heard from someone else doesnt mean it is 100% accurate. I would think that the black community at least those like MLK JR and that family would have known some information on this story. They are in civil rights movement so how come they have never mentioned it?History can and has been changed to fit the elite and their agenda.

The next problem came on day 2 looking for my Web Host Manager on kiosk. ws. Couldnt find it anywhere, no link to it. After a few emails to support I come to find out that since I have the Silver Package I dont have a Web Host Manager. Now what this means to the RRB program I have no idea, I have sent a support ticket to RRB and am waiting for a reply, Ill have to see if it will work. I went with the Silver package because I am on a fixed income with really nothing to spare but I thought that if I could just get it going then I could upgrade. I really want this to work. The worst sin in math, he told his students, was being mechanical. Being mechanical meant that you just memorized formulas and theorems without understanding how they were used or when to apply them.
